Registered Nurse Float Specialty
About The Position
Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with the healthcare organization’s established policies, procedures, and protocols. Primarily float to one or more specialty units as defined by the market. Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate; coordinate disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care; carry out physician and nursing orders; and assess and coordinate patient care needs with the healthcare team. The position is based at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida, in the ICU Float specialty, with a night schedule on a PRN basis.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- Registered Nurse credential from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained before hire or job transfer.
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of hospital experience in the PCU.
- ICU experience.
