About The Position

The Registered Nurse Specialty Float works in the Float Pool at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This full-time, day-shift role implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient conditions, and coordinates care with members of the healthcare team and other disciplines. The nurse carries out physician and nursing orders and assesses patients’ care needs.

Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse credential required before hire or job transfer.
• Certified BLS Provider credential required within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Advanced Life Support credential; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
• Certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support credential; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinate across disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient care needs with members of the healthcare team.
