About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool at Texas Health Southwest and Texas Health Clearfork delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, which includes assessing the patient, planning the care, intervening as appropriate, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. The role also involves incorporating age-specific safety and infection control measures, initiating actions to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information, and maintaining continuity of patient care across shifts, hospitals, and during transfers. Texas Health Southwest is a 261-bed, full-service hospital serving the southwest Fort Worth area, specializing in surgical services, orthopedics, rehabilitation, imaging, and adult critical care, with a 24-hour emergency department. Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing Required
1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program Required
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support - within 90 days of hire Required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire Required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support – required for ED Neighborhood within 90 days of hire Required
NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Required

Nice To Haves

BSN Preferred
Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience Preferred
Intermediate Care experience Preferred
