About The Position

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists, established in 2001, is a trusted leader in musculoskeletal and sports medicine care. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered orthopedic services while expanding access to high-quality care across the communities we serve. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with a strong background in orthopedic joint replacement, specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. The RNFA will provide advanced intraoperative surgical assistance and perioperative patient care.

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • Completion of RNFA program
  • 2–3 years orthopedic OR experience
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Knowledge of joint anatomy and procedures
  • Experience with implant systems
  • Strong teamwork and surgical skills

  • CNOR preferred
  • CRNFA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review patient records and imaging
  • Ensure readiness of equipment and implants
  • Assist with positioning and sterile prep
  • Assist in Total Knee and Hip Arthroplasty
  • Provide retraction, suction, and exposure
  • Perform tissue handling, hemostasis, and closure
  • Support robotic-assisted systems
  • Apply dressings and assist with recovery
  • Monitor and document patient status
