About The Position

Registered Nurse – TX Hip Knee FW 19038 Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This role involves performing general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures, potentially including specific nursing care related to the specialty of the practice. The nurse will obtain patient consent, ensure patient confidentiality, document health history, vital signs, and health risk factors, and assess disease conditions. Patient care will be provided based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations. The role includes executing prescribed treatments, administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and consulting with physicians and other health providers. Patient and family education on health status, maintenance, and management of conditions is a key responsibility. Documentation of patient assessment and intervention data is required, along with participation in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Tracking quality assurance data and monitoring acute and chronic care management are also part of the duties. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma Nursing (Required)
  • Associate's Degree Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Required)
  • 1 Year Experience in specialty area (e.g. Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, etc.) may be required (Required)
  • Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills-within 90 days of job entry (Required)
  • RN - Registered Nurse (Required )
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required ) Or BLS - Basic life support maintained every 2 years (Required )

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
  • 1 Year Related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures. May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.
  • Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
  • Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
  • Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
  • Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
