About The Position

This is a 16-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, located in Saratoga Springs, New York. The role is based in a hospital unit with 20 beds, supporting Palliative/Stroke/Tikosyn patients. The position requires flexibility to float to other units and may involve charge nurse responsibilities, with training provided. Charting is done in the EPIC system.

Requirements

Active New York RN license
AHA BLS certification
NIHSS certification
1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry units
EPIC charting experience
Willingness to float to other units and to assume charge nurse responsibilities; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
For non-U.S. candidates, 2 years of U.S. work experience required
Flexible schedule and ability to work nights; contract includes holiday coverage and weekend shifts as defined

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for adult patients in the Palliative/Stroke/Tele unit, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and symptom management.
Perform accurate and timely documentation in EPIC; update clinical records and communicate changes to the care team.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.
Float to other units as needed and participate in charge nurse duties; maintain flexibility to meet facility needs.
Uphold patient safety, infection control, and comfort measures; respond to changes in patient condition and emergency situations as appropriate.
Support compliance with unit policies, holidays coverage, and scheduling requirements per contract.
