About The Position

This travel temporary assignment is in a hospital setting with an outpatient cardiac device clinic focus. The role emphasizes independent clinical device management in an outpatient environment, with no on-call or weekend requirements. The Registered Nurse will independently manage implanted cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices, including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and implanted loop recorders, in an outpatient setting. They will perform device interrogations, programming, and troubleshooting per protocol; document results accurately in the EMR (EPIC). The role involves monitoring cardiac rhythms and telemetry, interpreting data, and coordinating with the cardiology team for patient care decisions. Additionally, the nurse will educate patients on device function, follow-up care, and post-procedure expectations, providing ongoing device-related guidance. Maintaining clinical competency in line with BLS standards and device safety requirements, ensuring accurate, compliant documentation, and adhering to the outpatient clinic schedule are crucial. Reliable transportation is necessary as public transportation is limited.

Requirements

  • BLS certification required
  • Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent job experience required
  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
  • EPIC experience within the last 2 years required
  • Outpatient clinic experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a outpatient device clinic setting and manage CRM device procedures

Responsibilities
