About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards. This posting is intended to build a candidate pipeline for current and future Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunities. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma/Certificate Program
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or eligible Compact State licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Strong clinical nursing knowledge and judgment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong patient advocacy and customer service focus
  • Basic computer and electronic medical record proficiency
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, and prioritize patient and family care needs.
