About The Position

J Edward Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This is a 21-week assignment with an evening shift from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The Emergency Department has 41 private exam beds, a 7-bed Accelerated Care Unit, and 35 hall beds, with an average daily census of 75 patients. Holiday coverage, specifically Christmas, is mandatory and no time off requests will be approved for that period. The role requires comfort with all cases, including pediatrics, due to a rise in pediatric illnesses. Experience with Meditech Expanse 6 is preferred but not required. Locals are accepted if they reside within 50 miles and are willing to accept the local rate.

Requirements

• Updated resume with 2+ years of ED experience (must include travel experience).
• 2 recent RN references (Charge RN/Manager preferred).
• Completed skills checklist matching ED specialty.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• Permanent MA RN license.
• Comfortable with all cases including pediatric patients.
• Must declare RTO at time of submission.
• Must have pediatric experience and be comfortable with pediatrics as part of patient ratios.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Meditech Expanse 6 EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department.
