The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides critical, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role requires rapid assessment, decisive action, and strong clinical expertise to manage urgent and life-threatening conditions. Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required during orientation
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 3 months
• Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Nice To Haves

• Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical need
• Provide emergency care for trauma, acute illness, and critical conditions
• Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Support patients and families during high-stress situations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Promote a safe, clean, and compliant care environment
