This role is for a Registered Nurse in the ER department at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX, with a PRN | Rotating 3pm-3am, 7pm-7am schedule.

Requirements

Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
2 + years of ER RN experience

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement guidelines.
Assess patient conditions, record changes, and communicate critical updates to the interdisciplinary team to support timely, coordinated care decisions.
Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety best practices.
Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions, continuity of care, and positive patient outcomes.
