Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience.
  • PALS and TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver confident, rapid emergency care to a high-acuity and high-volume patient population, ensuring safe, compassionate treatment during some of life’s most critical moments.
  • Perform thorough assessments and prioritize care quickly to stabilize trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, and medical emergency patients in a dynamic environment.
  • Anticipate changes in patient condition and act decisively to initiate timely interventions that improve outcomes and support throughput in a busy ED setting.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, paramedics, specialists, and support teams to ensure seamless coordination from arrival through admission or discharge.
  • Educate and support patients and families during discharge to promote recovery, prevent return visits, and reinforce community trust in our Emergency Department.
