About The Position

Via Christi, St. Francis is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a full-time, night shift position. The role involves providing direct, high-quality care, driving patient flow, keeping care moving, and preparing patients for their next step in care, whether it's an admission or discharge.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage care plans for a diverse patient load.
  • Closely monitor and record vital changes.
  • Communicate updates to the medical team in real-time.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders with precision to ensure timely treatment.
  • Act as the primary clinical point of contact for patients.
  • Ensure all tests, treatments, and reassessments are completed efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure discharge needs are met.
