About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Double Weekend Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical leadership and oversight of nursing operations during assigned weekend shifts while participating in the facility’s Baylor Program. This position ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient/resident care while supervising nursing staff, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Previous nursing experience required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable nursing standards, regulations, and infection-control practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to nursing staff during assigned weekend shifts.
  • Assess patients/residents and monitor changes in condition; initiate appropriate interventions and notify physicians or other providers as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and assignment of nursing personnel based on patient/resident needs.
  • Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
  • Review and ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation, medication administration records, treatment records, and required reports.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, changes in condition, falls, injuries, and other incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, residents/patients, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensure medications and treatments are administered safely and according to orders and facility policies.
  • Monitor infection prevention and control practices and promote compliance with safety standards.
  • Address staffing, performance, and patient/resident care concerns appropriately and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and other clinical processes as required.
  • Conduct rounds and monitor the overall quality of care provided during the weekend shift.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to nursing staff.
  • Complete required supervisory reports, incident reports, and shift documentation.
  • Serve as the nursing leadership contact and decision-maker during assigned weekend shifts.
