About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The role involves scrubbing and circulating for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital with 1266 total staffed beds and is a teaching/level trauma facility. Charting is done via EPIC. Parking information and costs are provided, with specific instructions for orientation and different shift types.
Requirements
- 2 years of RN CVOR experience required.
- Scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required.
- Circulate experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Must have a home address at least 75 miles from the facility.
- Pending License accepted.
- BSN preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Consideration for 1 year of experience if the candidate has Level 1 trauma facility experience.
- First-timers accepted only if they have more than 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Facility.
- Experience with Vascular (Open and Endovascular Procedures).
- Experience with Transplant (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas).
- Experience with Whipples (Pancreatic Procedures).
Responsibilities
- Scrub for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases.
- Circulate for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases.
- Float within the service line to meet facility needs.
- Participate in weekday and weekend call shifts as per unit needs.
- Work holidays as needed, with advance discussion.
