Registered Nurse - CVICU
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The role involves working weekdays and some weekends, with rotating holidays. Nurses may be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. The schedule is 36 hours per week, with options for Day/Night rotating shifts or Night shifts. Up to 6 weekend shifts may be scheduled per 4-week period. Specific weekend shifts include Saturday/Sunday for dayshift and Friday/Saturday for nightshift. There is no on-call requirement. The unit aims for an estimated patient ratio of 1:1-2. EPIC experience is required. Previous travel experience is preferred.
Requirements
- 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.

- EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Previous travel experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
- Manage patient care with an estimated ratio of 1:1-2.
- Float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed.
- Administer care during weekdays, weekends, and rotating holidays.
- Utilize required skills including IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swanz-Ganz catheter insertion/monitoring, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pump management, and Pulmonary Artery (PA) line management.
- Document patient care using EPIC.
