About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse Clinical Lead in the Med Surg department at Seton Smithville Regional in Smithville, TX. The position is full-time and involves night shifts. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for directing nursing staff, optimizing shift workflows and clinical staffing, managing resources, designing acuity-based assignments, maintaining unit productivity, and contributing to staff training, performance coaching, and hiring.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Assign, educate, and monitor nursing staff to drive peak shift performance and care delivery.
Exercise independent judgment to optimize shift work-flows, services, and clinical staffing.
Secure and manage essential materials, supplies, and resources to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
Design acuity-based assignments, maintain unit productivity standards, and manage operational variances.
Partner in building unit culture through staff training, performance coaching, and hiring input.
