About The Position

This is a 17-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a hospital-based cath lab setting in Rochester, NY. The role involves dynamic pre- and post-procedure care and PACU recovery within a fast-paced cardiac cath lab environment. The nurse will provide direct patient care and procedural support, monitor patients, assist with various procedures, collaborate with the healthcare team, document care, and maintain cath lab readiness.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in New York
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
Telemetry experience required
Recent CVICU/Cardiac Care or PACU experience required
Ability to work nights in a hospital-based cath lab environment and adapt to unit needs

Nice To Haves

Cath Lab experience highly desired; 2+ years of Cath Lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and procedural support in the cath lab, including pre- and postprocedure care and PACU recovery
Monitor telemetry and vital signs, respond to Cardiac events, and assist with rapid response as needed
Support electrophysiology and vascular procedures with equipment setup, sterile technique, and procedural assistance
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other nursing staff to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow
Document care in the electronic health record, communicate changes in patient status, and coordinate handoffs to receiving units
Maintain cath lab readiness, including equipment, supplies, and infection control practices
