About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is PRN (as needed) and scheduled for days. The nurse will manage the full cycle of patient care, including assessing, preparing, and positioning patients for procedures. They will provide physiological monitoring and conscious sedation, acting as a liaison between the patient and physician. Additionally, the nurse will coordinate discharge plans with families and the healthcare team.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Manage the full cycle of patient care by assessing, preparing, and positioning individuals for procedures to ensure clinical safety and optimal comfort
Provide active physiological monitoring and conscious sedation, serving as a critical line of communication between the patient and the physician to ensure real-time stability during interventions
Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans by collaborating with families and the healthcare team to ensure a safe, informed transition from the clinical setting to home
