About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking experienced Field Nurse Case Managers (RN) in the Orlando area to support workers’ compensation cases on a flexible 1099 basis. For over 30 years, The IMA Group has partnered with individuals, employers, carriers, and government agencies to improve health and disability outcomes nationwide. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality medical and case management services that make a meaningful impact. This is a hybrid role with local travel and remote documentation, offering autonomy and independence. The position involves coordinating medical care for injured workers, serving as a liaison between providers, employers, adjusters, and attorneys, with the goal of ensuring appropriate treatment, promoting recovery, and supporting safe return-to-work outcomes. There is no bedside care, weekends, or on-call requirements.

Requirements

  • Active Florida RN license
  • Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
  • Proficient with technology and electronic documentation
  • Reliable transportation for local travel throughout Orlando and surrounding areas
  • Professional liability/malpractice insurance or ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • CCM, CRRN, or related certifications are a plus
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans for injured workers
  • Attend medical appointments and assess treatment progression
  • Communicate with providers, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers
  • Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
  • Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of care
  • Assist with return-to-work planning and transitional duty coordination
  • Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations as needed
