About The Position
Our Cardiac Telemetry Unit is seeking motivated night-shift nurses to join our team for three 12-hour shifts per week. We care for patients before and after cardiac procedures and take pride in delivering exceptional care while having fun along the way. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- A compassionate, patient-centered RN committed to delivering excellent care
- A nurse who is eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic clinical environment

- A professional who upholds the New York State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and UHS standards

Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
- CCRN certification
- Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients
- Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management
- Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies
- Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services
- Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies
- Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives
- Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research
- Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers
- Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care
