About The Position

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit (5S) is a 24-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with acute and chronic heart problems. The unit consists of 6 semi-private rooms and 12 private rooms. It is known for providing outstanding care to improve patients' quality of life and plays an important role in the lives of patients and their families. The Cardiac Team is diverse, well-rounded, friendly, skilled, and works collaboratively. The unit welcomes new graduates and experienced nursing professionals seeking growth opportunities. A new graduate residency program is available for new graduates, and experienced nurses receive 6 weeks of hospital orientation with preceptors and clinical nurse leaders. The fast-paced unit seeks motivated nurses ready to learn and provide high-quality, patient-centered care, offering opportunities for advancement and skill-building for long-lasting fulfillment.

Requirements

• A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required.
• BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience (preferred – we do welcome New Grads!)
• BSN or ADN
