About The Position

Baptist South is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse for Part Time Nights Cardiac PCU. Experience preferred is Bedside Med/Surg, Critical Care or Cardiac RN. New Hires eligible for a $1,875 Sign on Bonus. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
  • 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Bedside Med/Surg, Critical Care or Cardiac RN experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) Preferred
  • ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
  • PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
