About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Med Surg department at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL. The nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients, implementing individualized care plans to support recovery and positive clinical outcomes. Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing patient conditions, communicating changes to ensure timely interventions, and collaborating with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support services for seamless, patient-centered care. The nurse will also administer treatments, carry out physician and nursing orders accurately, promote patient safety and clinical excellence, and coordinate discharge planning and patient education for successful transitions of care.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Recent hospital experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities
