About The Position

The Med/Surg nurse partners with our hospitalist team and other disciplines to manage, chest tubes, IV infusions, IV insertion, wound care, dressing changes, and medication administration. The ideal candidate for our team is resourceful, flexible and a team player. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
  • Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
