About The Position

Fitzgibbon Hospital, a non-profit community hospital serving Marshall, MO and surrounding areas, is seeking a self-driven and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Behavioral Health Unit (BHU). The BHU is a 10-bed inpatient unit providing care for patients aged 18-65 experiencing acute episodes of mental illness. The unit operates 24/7 and accepts both voluntary and involuntary patients, offering psychiatry services, individual and group therapy, social work services, and round-the-clock nursing care in a supportive, therapeutic environment. Treatment is patient-driven, aiming to stabilize patients within an average length of stay of 3-5 days and facilitate integration into community mental health services.

Requirements

• Valid Missouri RN license
• Current BLS/ACLS
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 nursing care in a supportive, therapeutic environment.
