Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit - BHU - Days
About The Position
Fitzgibbon Hospital, a non-profit community hospital serving the Marshall, MO area, is seeking a self-driven, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Behavioral Health Unit (BHU). The BHU is a 10-bed inpatient unit providing care for patients aged 18-65 experiencing acute episodes of mental illness. The unit operates 24/7 and offers psychiatry services, individual and group therapy, social work services, and nursing care in a supportive environment. Treatment focuses on patient-driven care to ensure successful discharge, with an average length of stay of 3-5 days, aiming to stabilize patients and connect them with community mental health services. The LPN performs selected duties to promote patient health, delivering care according to established protocols and standards.
Requirements
- Valid Missouri RN license
- Current BLS/ACLS
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

Responsibilities
- Performs selected duties for the production of health in the care of patients.
- Delivers care according to protocols and procedures in Department Specific and Generic Structure Standards Manuals.
