About The Position

The Registered Nurse – Ambulatory is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient setting. Working collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary teams, this role supports clinical operations, patient education, and care coordination across in-person, telephone triage, and telehealth encounters.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • Active Registered Nurse license in applicable state(s) (NH, NLC, MA, or eligible)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • 1+ year of professional nursing experience preferred (ambulatory care experience a plus)
  • Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient engagement abilities
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with EMR systems and standard office technology

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing (RN-BC) or specialty certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across in-person, telephone, and telehealth settings
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients on medications, disease management, wellness, and preventive care
  • Support providers during exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments; perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection
  • Conduct pre-visit planning to ensure readiness for patient encounters and identify care gaps
  • Accurately document all care within the electronic medical record
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and provide guidance to clinical support staff
  • Respond to urgent and emergent patient situations following established protocols
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety, and infection control standards
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for peers and new team members
