Weekday ambulatory nursing in the Four Corners — seven openings, no nights, no weekends. The Community Red Mesa sits in the heart of the Four Corners on the Navajo Nation, about 45 minutes west of Shiprock, New Mexico and roughly an hour and a half from Farmington. It is high desert country with wide horizons: Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly and Mesa Verde are all short drives, Durango and the San Juan Mountains are close enough for a weekend, and the cost of living is a fraction of what nurses pay in a metro market. Nurses who take assignments here talk about the patients and the pace — you know your community, and you have the time to teach. The Facility Four Corners Regional Health Center is a full-service ambulatory health center serving the Navajo Nation, with primary care providers, nursing, laboratory and radiology on site plus an urgent care. Nursing covers the outpatient clinic and urgent care, caring for adults, pediatric and maternal patients, with float coverage to other nursing units as patient needs require.
