CHEO is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Ambulatory Care position with an initial assignment in Infectious Diseases. This is a temporary full-time role, expected to last until July 2028. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients and their families within the Infectious Diseases division. This division includes programs such as general infectious diseases, tuberculosis, primary immune clinic, HIV clinic, RSV prophylactic clinic, travel medicine, and specialty immunization clinic. The nurse will function independently and as part of the ID Team, providing family-focused and evidence-based nursing care. The role involves compassionate care for infants, children, and youth with various infectious diseases, including HIV, tuberculosis, and primary immune pathologies. Responsibilities include managing and coordinating care for the RSV prophylactic program, teaching families and other healthcare professionals, identifying and responding to patient problems, participating in clinic activities and research, and engaging in continuous learning to develop expertise in the specialties.
