About The Position

Indiana University Health is looking for passionate, experienced nurses to join their team and collaborate with top medical professionals. At IU Health, nurses can develop their careers in significant ways, advancing healthcare and delivering the highest level of patient care. The Medical Surgical unit contains 25 Semi-Private Beds and cares for a variety of conditions for all adult patients. Nurses on this unit administer medications, monitor vital signs, change dressings, and educate patients about their procedures. They also coordinate patient care plans with other healthcare professionals and evaluate medical information.

Requirements

• 1+ years of clinical RN experience
• Associates of Nursing (ASN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be made for candidates with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
