About The Position

The Registered Dietitian role is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and offers remote work with full-time and part-time options. The position pays starting at $38 per hour, with compensation based on experience, credential, and education. The role focuses on using Food as Medicine to improve patients’ quality of life. The dietitian provides nutrition care to adult patients, taking into account medical conditions, nutritional status, and behavioral health needs. This includes nutrition counseling for people with mood disorders, eating disorders, and substance use disorders, as well as developing individualized nutrition care plans and monitoring nutritional status. The position collaborates with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to improve nutrition outcomes. Applicants may be Registered Dietitians (RD/RDN) or RD2Be/dietetic interns preparing for the RDN exam. The opportunity is also presented as suitable for newly credentialed, experienced, retired, or semi-retired dietitians seeking flexible work.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments for adult patients, considering medical conditions, nutritional status, and behavioral health needs.
Provide nutrition counseling tailored to patients with mood disorders, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
Monitor nutritional status and recommend appropriate nutrition interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to improve nutrition outcomes.
