About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for a skilled care community. This part-time position averages 20 hours per week and requires onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours. The role focuses on improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. The Registered Dietitian will work closely with the clinical team to monitor resident nutritional needs, provide nutrition education, contribute to MDS assessments, and formulate nutrition assessments. Responsibilities also include providing guidance on dining services, meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves training and guiding dining managers and staff, assisting with policy development, and monitoring the implementation of nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours.
  • Improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on an MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
