About The Position

DiningRD is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide consulting services to skilled care communities. The role involves onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours, averaging 16 hours per week. The position focuses on improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards, working closely with clinical teams, providing nutrition education, contributing to MDS assessments, formulating nutrition assessments, and offering guidance on dining services, sanitation, and regulatory compliance. The RD will also train and guide dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentials.
  • Licensed (if required by State).
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required).
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

  • Complete onsite visits to skilled care communities.
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of residents in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Provide nutrition education to residents and staff.
  • Work on MDS assessments with the clinical team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
