Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
About The Position
The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. The role works with Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists, and Anesthesiologists. CHOICE Healthcare Services is a provider of pediatric dental care in the Southwest United States, with a mission to provide everyone access to needed healthcare and deliver high-quality care to children in its communities. The pay range is $20.00 to $27.00, based on experience. Requirements
- California Registered Dental Assistant License.
- X-Ray Certification.
- Coronal Polish Certification required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Certification from a dental college, or at least 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; listed as preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Sealant Certification.
- Certification from a dental college, or at least 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during procedures.
- Operate x-ray equipment and take x-rays.
- Perform prophylaxis (prophy) on teeth.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart and treatment plan with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up and prepare rooms for hygiene and treatment.
- Take intraoral images (IOs).
- Perform charting.
- Apply sealants, if applicable.
