About The Position
Jump Ahead Pediatrics is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a full-time, school-based position in Woolwich Township, New Jersey. The role supports a student in an exclusive middle/high school placement and offers an opportunity to contribute to the student’s educational and developmental progress in a supportive school environment. Additional opportunities are available statewide and nationwide, with potential for career growth and advancement. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Compensation is $28–$31 per hour, with pay for the full school day, including lunch. The RBT provides direct one-to-one support across educational settings, implements behavior plans and individualized goals developed by a BCBA, collects behavioral data, assists with academic and social development, supports personal care and toileting routines, and uses approved strategies to promote safety and learning.
Requirements
- Active RBT certification.
- Previous experience working in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and goals developed by the BCBA across general education, In-Class Resource (ICR), Pull-Out Resource, and S.T.E.P. settings.
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate real-time behavioral data, including frequency, duration, interval, and ABC data, as directed by the BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one classroom support and assistance during school activities.
- Assist students with academic tasks and the development of social skills.
- Assist assigned students with personal hygiene, scheduled toileting protocols, and independence training in accordance with their IEPs.
- Use least-to-most prompting strategies to support academic work, functional communication, and peer interactions during lunch, electives, physical education, and other school activities.
- Implement approved behavioral intervention strategies to maintain a safe learning environment for the student and others.
