About The Position

Step Ahead ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician for one client in Honolulu, Hawaii. The schedule is Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday afternoons, approximately 18 hours per week. Exact session times for this case are M/Tu/Th/F 3-6pm, W 2-5pm, and Sat 9am-12pm. A BCBA is already assigned to this client and covers this region, providing a treatment plan and a handoff before the first session. Current RBTs get priority for new cases. Step Ahead supports families on Medicaid across Hawaii, ensuring access to therapy regardless of income. Each family receives a dedicated care manager and a schedule tailored to their availability and clinical appropriateness, not a corporate hours target. The role involves delivering direct therapy (97153) based on a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the BCBA. Supervision includes QA and IOA checks, observation, and feedback. The technician will collect session data and submit notes. Non-billable time is paid at $16 per hour. BCBAs and clinical directors have over 40 years of combined ABA experience.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat afternoons, about 18 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stay active and engaged in session.
