About The Position
The Arc of the Ozarks is hiring a Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support adults with significant behavioral support needs in the community. This role is suitable for an RBT seeking flexible, supplemental hours or full-time employment. The position involves providing direct behavior support services, implementing behavior support plans, and supporting individuals with severe aggression while maintaining safety and dignity. The role also requires data collection, effective communication, and building respectful relationships to promote independence and quality of life.
Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- Experience supporting adults with high behavioral needs.
- Demonstrated experience managing severe aggression in a safe and professional manner required.
- Ability to remain calm, consistent, and confident in high-intensity situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavior support services to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Implement individualized behavior support plans under supervision.
- Support individuals with significant behavioral support needs, including severe aggression.
- Maintain safety while preserving client dignity.
