About The Position

Chaplains serve as frontline staff fulfilling MCHAP’s mission and Christian ministry by using their gifts and talents to support company employees and their immediate families. The role involves regular visits to company worksites to build trusted relationships, as well as visiting employees and family members wherever care or assistance is needed. Chaplains may provide confidential pastoral discussions, referrals and coordination for specialized assistance, funeral support, jail visits, care following termination, and encouragement after serious injuries, deaths, or other tragedies. They may facilitate spiritual enrichment activities, provide requested resources, represent companies in appropriate ministry situations, and participate in new employee orientations. With permission from the Executive Director of Operations, they may perform other requested duties within the scope of the company agreement. Assigned hours are generally consistent week to week, but there are no guaranteed minimum hours; positional needs vary based on chaplain availability and client requirements. This is a remote, field-based position, with work environments dependent on client worksites.
