About The Position

Our Child Therapy is seeking a passionate, experienced Behavior Technician to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and families in a supportive team environment. The role involves implementing behavior-based treatment plans, educating parents, collecting data, and helping children reach their full potential. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, and is performed in person in clients’ homes in Newport News, Virginia. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The pay range is $24.00–$28.00 per hour. Requirements

Experience working with children and strong people skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Work effectively with children.
Collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical Director.
Conduct comprehensive data collection and maintain session reports.
Implement behavior-based treatment plans.
Educate parents on classroom support techniques.
Ensure safety and quality care for clients.
Establish professional relationships with parents, colleagues, and community resources.
Maintain training materials and supplies.
Advocate for children and families and facilitate referrals to community resources.
