About The Position

U.S. Steel is seeking reliable, safety-conscious OCTG Premium Threaded Pipe Inspectors to support the manufacturing of oil country tubular goods (OCTG). The role involves inspecting threaded pipes and accessories to ensure they meet required specifications, setting up and maintaining gauges, handling materials with heavy forklifts, and keeping the assigned work area clean and safe. Candidates must have premium threading experience as an operator or inspector and be able to work rotating schedules in an industrial environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Premium Thread Inspector or as a Threader Operator.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Successfully pass a background check.
• Pass a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with rotations every 3 months and fixed 8–12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Ability to work with and around hot, heavy, sharp, or hazardous materials and chemicals.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift materials weighing more than 25 pounds.

• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow department and company safety objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect premium pipe threads to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Set up gauges and maintain their condition.
• Inspect accessory threads.
• Operate heavy forklifts for material handling.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in the assigned work area.
• Perform additional duties or tasks as required by supervision.
