About The Position

Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists working in homes, schools, and daycares. The organization hires certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) as well as people motivated to earn certification. RBTs work one-on-one with children with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities, following individualized plans from a BCBA, implementing behavior strategies, collecting data, and building consistent relationships that support children’s growth. Each RBT is closely supported and mentored by a dedicated BCBA.

People who are not yet certified may have a path to becoming an RBT, including support preparing for and taking the certification exam. Depending on the practice, training reimbursement and paid hands-on learning may be available. The role offers full-time or part-time schedules, with availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings needed to meet client needs. Compensation is $20–$27 per hour, based on experience and location.

Requirements

• Have an active RBT certification or be motivated to earn one.
• Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially children who need extra patience and creativity.
• Have reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
• Have reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools.
• Be able to keep up physically, including getting on the floor and staying active, and be able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to pass a background check.

• Experience in education, childcare, psychology, social work, or another role involving working with children.
