About The Position

Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists working in homes, schools, and daycares. Registered Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities. They follow personalized plans from a BCBA, implement behavior strategies, collect data, and build consistent relationships that support children’s growth. Each RBT works with a dedicated BCBA mentor who is closely involved and reachable.

The role is open to people with an active RBT certification and to applicants who are motivated to earn certification. For applicants who are not yet certified, the network can help identify a path to certification, provide support preparing for and taking the exam, and match applicants with practices that may reimburse training and pay for hands-on learning. The position offers full-time or part-time arrangements, with some flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings to meet client needs.

Requirements

• Have an active RBT certification or be willing to earn one.
• Enjoy working with children, especially children who need patience and creativity.
• Have reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings to provide consistent client support.
• Have reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools.
• Be able to keep up physically, including getting on the floor, moving around, staying active, and lifting approximately 50 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in education, childcare, psychology, social work, or another role involving support for children.
