About The Position
ABA Para Providence NJ is seeking a Female Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a 1-on-1 in-home service role in Providence, New Jersey. This position involves working with a 3-year-old child who is nonverbal and has ASD. The schedule is Monday–Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, offering a structured evening routine. The role focuses on applying behavior plans, embedding communication targets into play-based therapy, teaching early learner skills, and mastering reinforcement techniques. It emphasizes making a significant positive impact on a child's life and their family's path, moving beyond traditional desk jobs to hands-on clinical science.
Requirements
- Active, valid RBT Credential required.
- A heart full of deep patience for early learners.
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to show up every single day.
- Strong data collection skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to keep an entire session engaging for a toddler without re-watching the same cartoon clips.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with young, nonverbal children preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate one-on-one with a young child to implement behavior plans.
- Stealthily embed manding and communication targets inside play-based therapy.
- Navigate early learner skills, focusing on teaching functional play.

- Collect data on progress and breakthroughs.
- Ensure sessions are engaging for a toddler.
- Provide direct support and guidance to the child and family.
