About The Position

Balaklava Soldiers Memorial District Hospital and Ira Parker Nursing Home are seeking Registered and Enrolled Nurses to work across multiple service areas in a collaborative, community-focused environment. The service includes a 15-bed acute ward with a 24-hour emergency department and a 20-bed residential aged care facility, providing acute and step-down care, restorative programs, palliative care, emergency services, and residential aged care. The roles contribute to high-quality, person-centred care for the local community.

The Registered Nurse position is permanent at 1.37 FTE. The Enrolled Nurse position is temporary until 31 January 2027 at 0.53 FTE. Balaklava is a country town approximately one hour from Adelaide, with local amenities and a close-knit community.

Requirements

• Be registered, or eligible for enrolment, as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Undergo employment screening and meet immunisation requirements.
• Demonstrate integrity and commitment to providing service to the highest possible standard.
