Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-family property management
  • Experience leading large portfolios across multiple communities
  • Proven success improving financial performance, occupancy, and operational results
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and asset performance
  • Experience developing high-performing leadership teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong understanding of leasing, maintenance operations, marketing, resident relations, and compliance
  • Experience with Yardi and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Third-party property management experience
  • Experience managing Regional Directors or equivalent senior operational leaders

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for a regional portfolio of multi-family communities
  • Develop and execute annual business plans and operational strategies
  • Build and mentor high-performing Regional Directors and community leaders
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Drive NOI growth, revenue optimization, occupancy, and expense management
  • Analyze budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and portfolio performance
  • Conduct property visits, operational reviews, and performance audits
  • Implement action plans that improve operational consistency and community performance
  • Ensure exceptional resident experiences across every community
  • Build trusted relationships with ownership groups, clients, vendors, and business partners
  • Provide portfolio updates, strategic recommendations, and operational insights
  • Resolve complex operational challenges with professionalism and urgency
  • Monitor market conditions and competitive trends
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations and expand portfolio performance
  • Support acquisitions, new management transitions, and property onboarding
  • Partner with executive leadership on long-term strategic initiatives
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop future leaders
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and professional growth
  • Champion company culture, mission, and values throughout the organization
