About The Position

Radiology Partners is a leading radiology practice in the U.S., serving hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide. We utilize a proven healthcare services model to provide consistent, high-quality care to patients and deliver enhanced value to hospitals, clinics, imaging centers, and referring physicians. The Regional VP of Operations is responsible for strategic planning and execution to improve profitability, productivity, and efficiency across the Practice's operations. This role requires experience in managing a P&L, meeting revenue and expense goals, and nurturing relationships with C-suite personnel and leaders. The candidate will manage multiple manager and director-level direct reports across a broad geography, leading and mentoring them to function as a cohesive team. This position oversees approximately 450 FTEs, including technologists, front desk staff, and call center personnel, supporting multiple joint-venture ambulatory imaging centers. The Regional VP will collaborate with the local radiology practice's governing board and practice chairman/president to develop strategic goals and ensure the achievement of both local and national practice objectives. Key responsibilities include managing Practice Directors, ensuring operational consistency, identifying and implementing process improvements, building strategic client relationships, forging new business, handling all operational aspects for assigned markets, creating and executing marketing and growth plans, identifying new market opportunities, representing the management team at joint venture board meetings, analyzing operational data to drive change, and providing strong support to physicians.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a P&L and hitting revenue and expense goals.
  • Adept at nurturing and growing relationships with System and Client C-Suite personnel and leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple manager and director level direct reports over a broad geography, leading, mentoring and coaching them to work as a team.
  • Oversee roughly 450 FTEs (including technologist, front desk staff & call center personnel covering multiple joint-venture ambulatory imaging centers).
  • Part of a dyad team with the local radiology practice’s governing board (Local Practice Board) and practice chairman/president that will develop the strategic goals of the practice.
  • Ensure that the local practice and nation practice goals are achieved.
  • Experience in healthcare services, preferably physician practice management.
  • 10 years in healthcare services.
  • Effective use of Technology and Teleconferencing to engage both RP Personnel and Clients effectively.
  • 20-40% Regional Travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the Practice’s operations.
  • Manage a team of Practice Directors and work closely with counterparts to ensure operational consistency across the Practice.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and presents suggestions for consideration.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients and forge new business.
  • Handle all areas of operations for assigned market(s) including client, customer and physician issues.
  • Create and execute a marketing and growth plan where needed and applicable to supporting RP’s mission to “Transform Radiology”.
  • Identify new market opportunities and work with sales and business development to bring on new clients and radiology practices.
  • Represent the management team at quarterly board meetings for a multi-center joint venture.
  • Analyze data regarding practice operations, identifying areas for improvement and driving the effective implementation of change to correct and adjust performance where needed.
  • Strong support of physicians in their area, including support in performance management.
