About The Position

Wealth Enhancement is an independent wealth management firm dedicated to enriching clients' lives through personalized financial planning and investment management services. With over 175 offices nationwide, the firm serves over 90,000 households. We are seeking a Regional Vice President, New Client Development to support local financial advisory teams. This client-facing advisor lead's primary role is to acquire new clients with investable assets exceeding $500,000 through direct marketing channels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of wealth management, financial planning, and a strategic approach to business growth. This role requires an energetic business developer and relationship builder with an entrepreneurial spirit. Compensation is determined by national survey data, tenure, performance, and geographic location, with an expected first-year range of $225,000 - $250,000, including base salary and variable compensation based on productivity and sales numbers. Requirements

  • 7+ years of business development/sales experience in investment management and/or financial advisory industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Experience working with Custodians such as Schwab, Fidelity or Scottrade is preferred.
  • 4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong financial advisory and wealth management acumen and experience.
  • A track record of success in obtaining referrals from one's own network and converting them into new business.
  • Experienced sales skills to determine partner and prospect needs through consultative questioning, offering solutions, and guiding next steps.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and selling experience.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50%) in the assigned market.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and analytical skills.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills in high-volume, high-energy environments.
  • FINRA Series 65 or 66 required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate presentation materials, including pitch decks, in collaboration with marketing.
  • Drive revenue by effectively communicating Wealth Enhancement Group's (WEG) offerings and value proposition.
  • Acquire new clients and increase assets under management to drive revenue.
  • Educate clients on planning and investment topics through one-on-one and group presentations.
  • Utilize WEG's planning structure and model to successfully close mid and high net worth cases.
  • Support financial advisory teams in growing local presence while maintaining client service and retention standards.
  • Proactively contact and qualify high net worth prospective clients identified through WEG's direct marketing channels.
  • Meet with high net worth investors to understand their financial situations and needs, introducing the value of WEG's advisory services.
  • Assist in the creation, delivery, execution, and management of complex financial plans and investment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with financial advisory teams to ensure seamless client service delivery post-close and transition.
