About The Position

Cranial Technologies is seeking a Regional Traveling Certified Orthotist for a full-time position based out of Hollywood, Jupiter, Boca Raton, or Miami, FL, traveling throughout all Florida clinics. This role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, working exclusively with infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®. Pediatricians and parents rely on our Clinicians as experts in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and misshapen ears, fostering strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process. The company hires from diverse backgrounds, finding value in PTs, OTs, and Certified Prosthetists/Orthotists. While pediatric experience is preferred, it's not required due to a formal training program with mentoring. This is a unique opportunity to specialize in a non-traditional, niche area of pediatric orthotics.

Requirements

Certified Orthotists only
500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g. splints, braces, maternity belts)
Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric experience a plus
Background in pediatrics is preferred, but not necessary as we have a formal training program that includes mentoring.
PTs and OTs are an excellent fit with their background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development.
Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists are also a strong fit because of their hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care.

Responsibilities

Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®
Treat infants to correct ear shapes with EarWell®
Serve as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears
Develop relationships with families at every stage of their treatment process
