About The Position

The Regional Tender Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing the complete tendering process for EPC and Industrial projects across the NAM Region (USA, Canada and Mexico). The role ensures the preparation of competitive, compliant, and commercially sound proposals that maximize the company's chances of securing profitable business opportunities. The position serves as the focal point between Business Development, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Legal, Finance, and external partners to develop winning bid strategies and deliver high-quality submissions within strict deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in tender management, bid coordination, or commercial roles within EPC, EPCM, industrial construction, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Deep understanding of EPC project delivery methodologies, contract structures (FIDIC, NEC, lump sum, reimbursable), and bid lifecycle management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary bid teams and client-facing tender submissions.
  • Proficiency in analyzing RFPs, ITTs, and RFQs; developing pricing strategies; and conducting risk assessments across technical, commercial, and contractual dimensions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end tender management process from opportunity qualification through bid submission and contract award.
  • Review Invitations to Tender (ITT), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and prequalification documents.
  • Develop and manage tender schedules, responsibilities, and submission timelines.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams across regional offices and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements, technical specifications, and corporate governance procedures.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with project risk profiles and market conditions.
  • Coordinate cost estimates with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Logistics, and Finance teams.
  • Conduct commercial evaluations and profitability assessments.
  • Lead bid clarification meetings and negotiations with clients when required.
  • Support contract review and risk mitigation strategies before submission.
  • Manage tenders for EPC, EPCM, industrial construction, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, petrochemical, mining, utilities, and related sectors.
  • Analyze project execution methodologies and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate scope definition and execution planning.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for inclusion in bid submissions.
  • Identify commercial, contractual, technical, financial, and operational risks during the bid phase.
  • Facilitate risk review workshops with key stakeholders.
  • Develop mitigation plans and recommend commercial qualifications where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with company risk management policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all tender-related activities within the region.
  • Coordinate communication among regional offices, headquarters, clients, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Support strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and consortium bids.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Maintain tender databases, bid registers, and opportunity pipelines.
  • Analyze bid performance, win/loss ratios, and lessons learned.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in tender management processes.
  • Support development of tendering tools, templates, and procedures.
